[Las Vegas, NV] - Café Bellagio

Here is my final post from my recent Vegas trips. Thanks to my friend and his AMEX travel card, we were able to have $150 to spend within a few restaurants in the Bellagio. Due to time constraints, this was our best option. While the line was long, it moved fairly quickly and we were able to squeeze in a lunch before heading off to the airport. 

 The food was as expected - good, but nothing amazing. But when something is free, it tends to taste just a bit better, right? 

Tiger shrimp cocktail

10 oz. Boneless rib-eye steak

NY Steak and Eggs - 6 oz New York Steak with three eggs and hash browns. Probably the best deal out of the three steaks we had.

8 oz Filet Mignon

Chocolate Brownie with Caramel Sauce and Ice Cream

If you are a milk tea fan, this is a must go spot. It's one of the oldest tea milk tea shops in Southern Taiwan, and from the looks of it, do everything the same as they always have. This post is only about the original location. They have many other locations around the island, but this was the first. I'm told the other locations aren't that great and some people even told me not to try it. But, I like trying the originals, and I have loved milk tea since the summer of 1992 so no harm in throwing down 30NT for one, right? [Kaohsiung, Taiwan] - 查理布朗咖啡店 | Charlie Brown Café Taiwan

I have been a huge fan of Snoopy for as long as I can remember (which is a long, long time). Having already been to one of the Charlie Brown Cafes in Hong Kong, I figured why not also go to the one in Kaohsiung? If you want to go, it's pretty easy. Kaohsiung has an MRT system like the one in Taipei. Take the red line to the Hanshin Arena KMRT stop and walk up Baoi Road 2nd to Baoi Road 3rd. You should see the Hanshin department store on the left. Just walk a few blocks and you'll see the Charlie Brown Cafe on the left side of the road (same side as the department store) with the cross street of Zhizhen Road. It's pretty hard to miss! If you're lucky, it's not too busy and Snoopy is available to join you for some afternoon coffee, tea, sparkly drinks, and/or snacks. [Daly City, CA] - Noodle in a Haystack

Noodle in a Haystack is a ramen pop-up that I have been following for about a year now. Through following them, I learned that they had been working on their yuzu shio ramen for a few years now, and that they started making their own ramen because the local selection wasn't great , especially after having gotten used to the ramen in Japan (I was pretty excited to know that I wasn't alone in this assessment, or that others have suffered from culture shock moving back to the States!). Before I went to Japan and had real  ramen, I wasn't that picky. After having Ichiran and a few other random places, I just wasn't able to eat ramen anywhere. Santouka became the only place that I would go to, but their ramen is only tonkotsu. I personally prefer miso ramen, so the tonkotsu is too heavy for me to enjoy frequently.
